Alex skidded back a short distance, already in full armor and using his spear as an anchor to slow down. His opponent, a kind of skinny guy wearing a grey suit that left his arms and feet exposed, a hood over his head, and a mask and pair of goggles covering his face, cracked his neck. "I'm not gonna let you touch my sister, pal."
"Well, then, your sister probably should have considered that before blasting a vault door off its hinges." Alex stood, and split into a team of five. He spun his spear a little bit and brandished it. The villain shrugged.
"Fine then. Eat street, pal!" The villain slammed a foot into the street, causing a literal wave of pavement to form. The clones got in front of Alex and they all braced for impact.
Down the street, a woman in an identical outfit, the only difference being her brown hair hanging down to either side of her neck, was cleaning out a vault. They'd already sent one super; hopefully the MCD wouldn't send another one to deal with the twins Wreck and Ruin.

Miranda hadn't been far away from the bank whe she got the text, so she elected to help out. She had her suit in her bag anyway. She flew over at high speeds, glowing wings and sword out. She turned to look at the situation; she wasn't the first one on the scene as it turned out. There was a semi-familiar look group of individuals fighting one of the people described in the warning. Funny, she thought, why'd they send a bunch of guys? Cordelida shrugged and flew towards the bank.
She landed dramatically at the door, walking through it and spreading her wings out once she had cleared the door. She walked towards the vault, hoping to god she didn't trip on her heels as she walked. She could see the blast damage on the vault from the door.
"Halt! Show thyself, foul villain, and submit to your divine justice."

"I don't know half a' what you just said, but I ain't filthy." The costumed woman said, turning to face Cordelia from where she stood inside the vault. She rolled her shoulders, staring at the angelic superheroine. "I dunno what they told you about Wreck and Ruin, but we don't lose. Ruin especially don't lose to freak shows like you." With that, Ruin took a step forward and clapped her hands, sending out a powerful shockwave.
The wave broke, and Alex banished the four clones, summoning six more in their place. "Nice trick. Here's one of mine." He motioned, and two clones got into position, linking their hands together to make a small platform. Alex hopped up on it, and the clones threw him at Wreck.
"Now that just ain't fair." Wreck muttered, before snapping his hand out, firing another shockwave through the air. It knocked Alex out of his trajectory, but a clone caught him.
"You just ruined my Fastball Special. NOBODY interrupts my Fastball Special." Alex grunted, before charging, his six clones in tow.

Cordelia's reaction time to the wave could have been better. She tried to solidify her wings into shields, but couldn't mange to get them hard enough in time to avoid being pushed back several feet - even if she remained on her feet. As she held her wings in front of her, she gathered light in her hands. Once the wave stopped pushing her back, she snapped her wings open, raised into the air and fired off a weak blast from both hands at Ruin - not nearly powerful enough to kill, just to stun. After a moment she let her blast fade from her off hand, but kept the light around it as she started to muster up the focus for a construct.

Ruin's hand snapped out, another shockwave blasting out. Hopefully it would disrupt the light or something.
Three armored fists socked Wreck in the chest at the same time, and he staggered back. "How cute. You move in unison."
"I mean, we're the same person." Alex shrugged, before swinging for his head with the blunt end of his spear. Wreck ducked, and Alex missed, and the follow-through carried him down. Luckily, a clone caught him. Unluckily, Wreck kicked him in the armored gut, using a shockwave to both protect his bare foot and launch Alex a solid thirty feet, his clones involuntarily vanishing.

While Ruin was distracted, Cordelia launched herself to the side. Using this as an opening, she created a three foot tall ring of light surrounding the bank building. She then dashed flew directly at the meta.

Ruin noticed her moving, and flung out her other hand, trying to stop the heroine in her tracks. She probably couldn't beat her in a straight fight, so her best chance was stopping her now.
Alex used his spear to help himself back to his feet. "Not cool."
"I don't care." Wreck started sprinting toward Alex, launching into a double-legged flying kick aiming for Alex's chest. He landed it perfectly, sending Alex sailing directly into a wall and leaving a pretty significant crater. He spawned two clones, who started pulling him out.
"Ow..." He muttered. He was gonna feel that when he took the armor off.

The shockwave knocked Cordelia against the wall, leaving an indent where she hit it. She crumbled to the ground, letting her healing factor work so she could try and catch her breath. As she laid on the ground she created and fired three daggers made of light from her outstretched hand.

Ruin dropped to a prone position, using the force of her sudden fall to kickstart another shockwave, this one in all directions.
Wreck started charging again, but this time Alex was ready. He tossed his spear to a third clone, and with the help of the two that had pulled him from the wall, readied another fastball special. The two clones threw him headfirst, the third clone tossing his spear, allowing Alex to catch it mid-flight. He used it as a crossbar, slamming into Wreck's torso and throwing him almost to the entrance of the bank. Alex landed, and charged after him, clones in tow.

Cordelia managed to get herself airborne again, wrapping herself up in a shield made of light as she did so. She waited it out, holding her shield until the wave have passed - at which point she launched it at Ruin.

Ruin didn't see it in time and the blast knocked her into the floor, making a shallow Ruin-shaped crater.
"Sis!" Wreck ran over, helping her to her feet. Alex and his three clones showed up a moment later, and Alex noticed Cordelia. He nodded to her, and moved two clones in front of himself. As the two siblings stared down their challengers, Alex knew fighting them when they were side by side was going to be a bad idea.

"How have you been doing with this ruffian?" Cordelia asked Alex, focusing on manipulating her broken shield into a new shape. She extended a blade of light from her hand as well, ready to fight when they were on their feet.

"Fine, for the most part." Alex muttered, calling out more clones until there were ten guys in armor. Wreck and Ruin looked at each other, nodded, and joined hands. "Brace for impact."
With a shared cry, the two unleashed a shockwave, probably twice as strong as any they'd been shooting before. Alex, with the help of his clones, managed to weather the shock, and they charged as one, forcing the twins apart, five clones engaging Ruin while Alex and the remaining four clones engaged Wreck.
