Civilian Info
Name: Miranda Haley
Age: 22
Sex: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Occupation: Masters Student, majored in Biochem
Face Claim: Mari Shimon "Seiken Tsukai No World Break"
Physical Description: Miranda is a somewhat attractive woman in her early twenties. She's a (bottle) blonde, who keeps her hair up most of the time. Her preferred attire changes depending on if she's in class or if she's at home - though the amount of time at the latter is low. She dresses much more formally than she prefers in class (more formal fake glasses, dresses, conservative clothing), while at home she goes for jeans, tee shirts, and silver (fake) glasses. She has a birthmark resmbling the Roman Numeral VI on her shoulder blade.
While not quite a physical description, Miranda moves with a different posture than when she is Cordelia. She hunches, she acts clumsy. Miranda also plays up her British accent as herself and speaks with a French accent as Cordelia. She also drops her voice an octave.
Personality: Miranda has been called naive by a lot of people, which she denies. She refuses to let stress and hardship break her. This determination has led to her being a bit of a workaholic, both in the mundane sense and the heroic one. She will often work herself to the bone, and is well known to push the absolute limits of even her enhanced endurance.
Miranda also takes the equal and opposite approach to her social life. When her friends get her out, they've noticed she takes that enthusiasm for her work and puts it into dancing and partying at clubs. When she lets her hair down, it starts a storm of hedonism. That isn't to say she's an alcoholic or a dumb party girl; she simply uses every free moment she has to the fullest. She's also known for trying immediately tobe their for her friends as someone to talk to or a shoulder to cry on. She has a reputation for being the big sister of her circle of friends if something happens.
All of the above traits transfer into her Cordelia persona, but not in a 1 to 1 sense. Miranda tries to play up the larger than life sense that her alter ego possesses. Cordelia is played both as someone criminals are supposed to fear and that victims and innocents can look upto. She's kind to those who have been tread upon, and just to those who have been hurting others. She also tends to "Shakespeare" her speech as much as she can, to continue the lie about her being an ancient being.

History: Miranda has two stories to tell; that of her mortal life, and that of her previous life.
The first of the two lives to discuss is her as an Angel. She wasn't the kind of Angel that floated around on high strumming a harp and lounging on a cloud; she and her siblings were Angels given physical form in order to fight off the demons and threats that might befall the Earth. She was part of a batch of six; Oberon, Titania, Caliban, Mercutio, Mab, and Cordelia. While these beings are given flesh and extended mortal lives, they often don't last long enough to enjoy it. In fact, the six of them all died on the same day, giving their lives to destroy an army of demons attempting to crawl through the cracks below London. Not one human died that day. In return for their sacrifice, it was made sure that their names would never be forgotten, as the names were whispered into the ear of a young child named William Shakespeare by someone on high.
The souls of Cordelia and her batch eventually got reincarnated, although it took about several hundred years to do so. This time, the six were granted the highest honor an Angel could get; the chance to truly become human, but with their powers in case it was needed. All six were born in the country they protected, England, though none have met.
Cordelia, the youngest, was reborn as the daughter of Richard and Dana Haley. Richard and Dana were retired RAF, specifically a pilot and a mechanic who later. Richard was the one who came up with Miranda as a name, because she was his miracle child due to an injury that made it very unlikely he could have children. They never had much growing up, but they were never without. Miranda spent a lot of her time in the library of the school Richard taught, where she spent hours upon hours reading everything she could. That or drawing possible video game characters, a passion that she let fall to the wayside as she grew into her high school years.
She eventually got a scholarship to attend university abroad, at Lansing University. She had flown ahead to set up the dorm in person, with her parents in tow, but as she was driving the bridge to Lansing collapsed in the middle of heavy evening traffic As the bridge crumbled, her Miranda's life flashed before her eyes... as did Cordelia's. Her wings grew back, her eyes turned gold, and she managed to rescue both of her parents from falling to their deaths. Not only that, she managed to create a net of light strong enough to catch the cars falling off the bridge... making sure no one was hurt.
She set her parents down, and then flew off in terror as the adrenaline wore off. Thankfully the time of night kept her face from being seen. She immediately grabbed a hoodie and a pair of blck yoga pants out of her backpack, and flew to the MCL, asking to talk to someone. While she didn't know the full jist yet she did know two things. The first was that she was somehow a reincarnated angel. And the second was that she wanted to keep helping people.
She signed the paperwork the second she got the oppurtunity, and made an odd request of Inspector Stone. She wanted to sign a second copy publically, while announcing herself as the angel Cordelia and claiming that she didn't have a second identity. This way she put off suspicion that Cordelia and Miranda were the same person. And for the last four years, Lansing Bay and Barellia as a whole has had a guardian angel.
Anything Else?
Sample RP: Business was slow tonight at 20 One. So slow in fact that Miranda made no secret of the fact that she was sitting at the bar, laptop in front of her, writing a paper. It's not like the three customers in the bar that night would care. So long as she kept pouring drafts, they didn't care. And hey, maybe she could get this paper done on time AND get some sleep.
*bzzz*
Oh no, she thought to herself. Not tonight, I only have so many hours left.
*bzzz*
Couldn't it wait? She only had to do the research citations and then she would freely do the thing.
*bzzz*
Miranda sighed, saving her progress and closing her laptop into her bag. As much as she tried to ignore it, she couldn't ignore the sounds buzzing in her purse. She turned to one of the fellow bartenders working that night, trying to catch her. "Hey Franky, could you cover my section for a bit? A friend went through a bad breakup and I told him to call me if he needed to vent about his ex."
"Sure," Franky said, barely paying attention. "We might be able to cut and run early tonight anyway. Go on ahead."
"I owe you" Miranda said, grabbing her bag and running for the door.
"You always do!" she called back out.
Miranda ducked into an alley, quickly changing out of her bar uniform into the poorly fitting outfit she chose as Cordelia's. The second she got it put on she changed her size to fill it out, as soon as she put on the jacket changed her hair, and the second she put on her mask, she grew her wings and flew.
