Civilian Info
Name: Alexander Marlowe
Age: 26
Sex: Male
Alignment: Neutral Good
Occupation: Bartender at 20 One, grad student
Face Claim: Yuuto Tachibana (Akiba's Trip)
Physical Description: Alex is a fairly scrawny guy, definitely not a fighter. His brown hair is a little past his ears in length and usually kinda messy, but he at least runs a comb through it every now and then. He usually wears a grey undershirt, a striped button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, khaki jeans and sneakers. When he's at work, he trades in his striped shirt for a black one. He also keeps all his research on a flash drive around his neck, as well as backed up several other places, but the main copy is around his neck. He also has his glasses permanently installed on his face, and the ring where the Iron Brotherhood armor is stored, a simple metal band with a red spherical jewel, on his right middle finger
Personality: Alex is a fairly chill, sarcastic dude. He'll often act elaborate routines with his friends to mock people, one of his personal favorites being one he does with a coworker where they pretend to be sports game announcers and comment on someone's actions. It takes rather a lot to get him proper emotional, since he's got a fairly smooth vibe about his life. A good sign that he's starting to get stressed is if he begins fiddling with the Ring of the Iron Brotherhood.
He's an incredibly smart guy, and has to actively stop himself from correcting people when they get something wrong. He's not very good at the whole "Clark Kenting" thing sometimes, and if he hears someone say something wrong about a superhero he knows, most especially Iron Brotherhood (obviously), he'll correct them. He passes this off as being a huge superhero fanboy, but he suspects some of his coworkers might be getting suspicious. He's managed to keep his secret however.
Alex likes to help people. This comes in many ways; he's gained a reputation as one of the more strict bartenders at 20 One because of his policies regarding cutting people off, yet keep the numbers of three different cab companies on speed dial in case someone needs to get home, even if its a complete stranger. He also likes his IT side-business, and it kind of pains him that he can't do it as much as he'd like to. Of course, the thing he takes the most pride in is the fact he is Iron Brotherhood. He views his being a superhero as the highest calling imaginable, and he treats it with the utmost seriousness he can muster.

Weaknesses:
- All of his power and martial skill comes from the armor. Neutralize the armor somehow (anti-magic works pretty well) and he's a goner.
- Injuries sustained while wearing the armor don't go away, the armor just has a minor painkiller effect. When he takes the armor off, it all hits him like a semi truck.
-
Other Equipment:
- His laptop, a customized beast of a machine that he takes great pride in. He keeps all of his research on it, as well as a collection of games that most would consider infeasibly large.
- His motorcycle, a kinda crappy Ducati he got used. He's studied motorcycle maintenance and has cleaned it up a bit, but it's still seen its fair share of use.
History: Alex was born to a pair of researchers who worked at Exotech Inc. He went through the Marshallsville schools up until the seventh grade, and never really excelled or stood out. He was mostly just sorta... there. At least, he tried to be, up until word got out his parents worked at Exotech. He gained a reputation in that instant, as the genius whiz-kid. After all, his parents were geniuses working at the super-secret lab, so why wouldn't their son be the same way? Alex would have much preferred remaining on the sidelines, but this forced him to actually study and learn the material. Upon that happening, he realized he actually loved learning, and he started devouring books like a mad dog, learning too fast for the school to actually keep up. He wound up skipping the fourth grade, and when he finished sixth grade, he was invited to a prestigious academy in Newcroft. So he moved to Newcroft, living with an uncle, his dad's brother, and his wife.
At the genius school, Alex kept pace fairly well. Most of the other kids had been there for a long while, and thus Alex had to find a clique to wiggle his way into, eventually finding it with the computer nerds. He knew a pretty decent bit about computers already, and learned even more by hanging out with these kids. He graduated at the age of 16 and received a full ride scholarship to Lansing National University, to study computer science. He of course accepted, and graduated three years later magna cum laude. And this is where Alex hit something of a wall.
He wanted to keep researching, but none of the prominent tech firms were accepting new hires, not even ones with profiles as supremely qualified as Alex's. So he wound up moving into a small apartment in Lansing Bay and finding a job at 20 One, becoming a bartender. At first, he hated it, since he'd spent the past decade of his life being the smartest person in the room, and now he was forced to serve drinks. He eventually managed to become something of the local tech guru, and set up an IT side business, operating out of his apartment. It was through this side business of his that he had his first run-in with magic.
While delivering a computer to a client, he accidentally walked into a fight between two wizards. The "good" wizard (his client) defeated the "evil" wizard, and as a promise for Alex keeping quiet, paid him double his rate and gave him a gift, a simple metal ring with a spherical red jewel "that held great power". Not five minutes before receiving this, Alex would have brushed it off as new-age nonsense, but he believed it and he took the ring home. He started wearing the ring, finding that it fit his finger oddly perfectly, and proceeded to wear it for a few months until discovering it's true power by perfect accident, while walking home from work. He got jumped by a mugger, and while reaching for the ring to take it off, activated it instead, summoning the armor of the Iron Brotherhood. It magically implanted the knowledge of what he was wearing and how to use it, and Alex proceeded to beat the crap out of the mugger. The very next day, he filed for a Special Apprehensions License, partly out of not wanting to be arrested and partly because the bounties made for good money.
After about a year of operating as Iron Brotherhood, he decided to go back to school, to study history this time, with a focus on ancient beliefs surrounding magic and sorcery. To keep up, he drastically slowed down the workload he kept up with his IT business, and transitioned to part-time work at 20 One. He still always wears the ring, though.
Anything Else?
