Civilian Info
Name: Veritas Solaris
Age: 21
Sex: Male
Alignment: Supervillain
Occupation: Inventor and Super Criminal. Crimelord, Supervillain.
Face Claim: Vincent Law-Ergo Proxy
Physical Description:
Muscular and standing tall, Veritas is about 5"4. His hair is styled black and in a flat top. There is also a green streak through it. His skin is white. Clothing wise the outfit is designed in a fashion similar to a track suit of sorts that is worn by him. The Track Suit is black and green in color. The Infinity Symbol that he wears on his costume is worn on the back of the outfit. There are no scars or tattoos of any kind that are anywhere on his body.
Personality:
Engineered in a lab to be a Hero Veritas refuses to embrace the destiny he was made for. Veritas is a very stubborn individual who often refuses acceptance of the Status Quo. In addition to this he possesses a love of tinkering with machinery and learning more about new gadgets and gizmos. Inventing is truly his passion. When he battles an opponent however Veritas is NOT above the cheap shots. This is because he knows most meta humans or others are insanely more powerful than he could ever hope to be. Veritas will resort to any tactic to win a fight no matter how crude or rude such a tactic may actually prove to be. There are times however he has honor. These are times when he and the hero are evenly matched. If the hero doesn't call for legions of backup neither will Veritas.
Veritas would one day like to be king, and has big plans and so has made his name "Cyberlord" because he's the master of all things digital. Veritas also hates it when heroes go into long winded speeches on morality because he makes it a habit personally to not monologue or resort to evil laughter of any kind... well maniacal laughter. This is due to his belief that such would be a distraction and would lead him to miss crucial moments. Due to his education from Sirius he is also highly alert and pays attention to the situation he's in. Veritas is also suspicious of the criminals under the employ of his now deceased "Dad" and doesn't trust them as far as he can throw them. Eventually he plans to replace them but for now is willing to use them as assets so that he can ensure his total and complete victory.
Super Info
Alias: Cyberlord
Costume:
The differences are that the purple is green and that the W is replaced with an Infinity Symbol.
Powers/Skills:
- Power/Skill Name: Super Genius Intellect
Description: Individuals with this super power are incredibly intelligent and able to juryrig mechanical devices out of parts at hand in order to make super weapons for themselves. This power allows them to use strategy and outthink their opponents. Yet it does not provide any boosts to their physical capabilities.
Paraphernalia (If applicable): Tools to build mechanical devices
Category: Tech - Power Skill/Name: Projector Case
Description:
The Projector Case appears to be a normal deck case at least to the eyes of any untrained observers. This is actually one of the most sophisticated pieces of equipment on the planet. What this does is take any cards that are put into it and make them real. For monster cards it would literally summon them out with no constraints on their abilities to do the bidding of whoever summoned them. Spell cards would look the same but take on a greenish color. Equipment and Trap Cards remain the same because they are not altered. When activated this transforms itself into his costume.
Paraphernalia: None
Category: Tech
Weaknesses:
- Electromagnetic Pulses: Electromagnetic Pulses can bring down any form of machinery that Cyberlord uses. But they also have another side-effect. These pulses provide him the mother of all migraine headaches that WILL NOT go away, even with medication. Only sleep works to cure the headaches.
- Technopaths: Technopaths are an irritation to Cyberlord because they can simply take whatever he's using and render it inoperable or turn it against him.
- Telepaths: Even more annoying than their technopathic cousins Telepaths are a PAIN IN HIS ASS. For you see they can influence his mind and he has no defense against them presently. It's a problem that really annoys him.
Other Equipment:
- Medical Pod: A medical pod that he's built back at his base. This allows him to heal minor injuries in minutes and more severe ones in days. This device was made by him when he became a contracted villain. It's something he's kept secret
History:
"You will be a hero." These were the words that were first heard by Veritas when he was genetically engineered by a company who was afraid of the powers possessed by super humans and wanted some of that power in the corner of humanity should any of them decide to go rogue. The company put Veritas as a baby into a form of accelerated mental aging so that his mind would develop far faster than it normally should. By the time he was six he could beat a computer at a game of chess with no assistance of any kind whatsoever. In addition to the mental lessons the agency who made him also tried to hone his body... to mold him into the first of hundreds of 'heroes' planned to be sold by them to the highest bidder.
Ten years old at the time and able to take on 5 professional killers at once Veritas soon discovered the plans of the scientists who made him and would have none of their schemes whatsoever. Using the skills they had bestowed upon him Veritas silently killed each and every last one of the people who had made him... taking all the money from the place before leaving with it. By the time he was 11 years of age he managed to attract the attention of a powerful villain named Sirius Nova who was dying off and needed someone to inherit his criminal empire that he had put together. Given that none of his soldiers could be trusted Sirius adopted Veritas by having fake legal documents made to that effect. Once the documents had been made he took Veritas under his wing. The mercenary arranged multiple missions for Veritas that earned him a bad reputation as one of the deadliest people on the planet by the age of fifteen.
The same year that he became fifteen years of age, Veritas decided to get himself legally emancipated. Of course his mercenary 'dad' wouldn't have any of it and so as Sirius was one of the deadliest men on the planet Veritas decided there was but one way for him to inherit the criminal empire of his mentor and at the same time emancipate himself from the individual. Building the first of the Projector Cases, he used a spell card in order to choke the life out of Sirius painlessly while he was asleep at night. With that out of the way, Veritas inherited the vast criminal empire that Sirius had made. Using the empire by the age of sixteen he got himself emancipated and never needed money again. But still he knew that he would have a lot to do. Five years passed and he eventually perfected the Projector Case and his other technology. With it perfected he's decided to become a crook once more.
Anything Else?
Veritas has a vast criminal empire at his disposal that can get him virtually anything he needs. He is also very wealthy.
Sample RP:
What was a villain without those who would confront him? Pointless. Veritas knew that villains were often judged from the quality of their enemies and that meant he needed ones he could mold into proper heroes and heroines... making them the perfect opponents for him. Grabbing the Projector Case off of it's charger Veritas considered what he could do today for his criminal activities. Smash a building? No. Rob a mall? No. Hit a bank? No. It was all so passe and he'd done it all before or had agents do it. In any case what mattered was that he was completely and totally bored. There was always the classic of battling a Hero or Emotionally making the hero miserable. With that he pulled out a book that contained information on several heroes and heroines he'd encountered. "Who to take on first?" Veritas sighed as he looked over the files and decided he'd need to upgrade his arsenal. The cops in Barellia wouldn't pull their punches and likely had more powerful pieces of technology. More cards would need to be made by him and he'd need drones and minions. This meant supplies were in order.
